Lets talk about the process to perfection (Crafting a Zoji Brand Pedestal)
We start off with the most safe material to produce our pedestals. We searched and tested raw material that was free of BPA, Formaldehyde, and other yucky volatile organic compounds.
We mill up the individual pieces in our Wood Shoppe and we process them to precise and exacting tolerances. Then the parts are clean with compressed air and assembled by our skilled craftsmen.
After a day has passed and the pedestal have formed, we remove the forms placed around them to keep them in compression and square. We use Swiss made sanding pads, and work through all the different grits to get a surface that is begging to be painted. We hand off these finished pedestal shells to our on site SprayStation.
The SprayStation - Where the magic happens
In our SprayStation is where our pedestal get their color and protection to last for years. A customer's selected color is batched with like items and produced in two daily batches. Our SprayStation can accommodate up to 24 large pedestal at a time. Allowing for surge production for our large order clients, distributors, or the busy 4th quarter season. Our process takes about 4.5 hrs. to complete, and our craftsmen allow the completed units to cure in a temperature controlled, humidity controlled chamber for about 6 hrs.
Quality control and packaging
We inspect our pedestals on all sides, and under the harshest studio lights to reveal any defects prior to packaging. We catch the vast majority of issue before they ever become an issue. We use earth-friendly packaging that can easily be reused or recycled any where in North America.
